TnG Apparel Ambassador Profile - Maea Winitana
We would like to introduce our first TnG Apparel Ambassador – head coach and owner of CrossFit Bunbury, Maea Winitana. Maea is an unwavering source of support and inspiration when it comes to all things health and fitness. He sets a shining example of how hard work, dedication and positive thinking can propel you towards your goals, dreams, and a healthier life.
Family is incredibly important to Maea and he has successfully built a community of athletes at CrossFit Bunbury who always feel like they are ‘at home’ when stepping into the box. We are honoured to have Maea on our team. Here is a little about him, in his own words.
Please introduce yourself - give us a rundown of who you are, where fitness comes into your life, and what you stand for.
Maea Winitana, 45 years young, married and father of two. I originate from New Zealand and have lived in Australia since 2004. My wife Cara and I own CrossFit Bunbury in southwest WA. Health and fitness is a huge part of my life! Not only are my goals to see all my members and friends succeed in their fitness journey, but I also have big personal goals for myself - next year my aim is to make the CrossFit Games in the Masters 45-49 years category.
How is good health and wellbeing a part of your life and what do these terms mean to you?
I love to see people achieve their goals! My life is to give all I can to help, wherever I can. What I know and love is health and fitness, it is my passion.
Sustainability is important to the TnG team, our kids and their future. Tell us your views on sustainability and your commitment to improve the world for future generations. For me personally, becoming vegan is my way to help the future generations, the environment, and sustainability.
What are your plans, hopes and aspirations for the future?
To qualify for the CrossFit Games in 2018; to continue to help people change their lives for the better through health and fitness; to expand my little family and to always strive to improve myself. I aim to be a better husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and human being!
